INTERPRETING YOUR DREAMS
I have read literally dozens of dream books and finally found none that made sense to me...all of these "encyclopedias" cannot possibly sum up your entire dream and the meaning behind it. I have learned through my own research that you are the only one that can actually interpret your dream to the best degree because it is all based on feeling, you need to check in with yourself and ask how did you feel when this was going on. There may be a "symbol" say a snake you then go to your little encyclopedia and it tells you all different ways the snake may have been interacting with you and the meaning behind it. Everyone is going to have a different theme going on and an encyclopedia cannot make that distinction. How did you feel about the snake were you scared of it? did it feel as though it had knowledge for you ? perhaps it was even protecting you. Pay close attention to the dreams that are vivid , if a particular dream was very vivid and you remember it very detailed and throughout the day, write it down. Do this as soon as you wake up with any of your dreams, keep a journal even if it is just a few things you remember about it. You can go back after a month and see what was going on in your life at the time and check it against your dream journal, you will start to realize how to decipher your own dream patterns and meanings. Dreams are necessary i believe for the unconscious mind to sort everything out for us since many people aren't able to either deal with their problems or aren't aware that there is a problem they should actually address within themselves. I think dreams are a necessary tool for the mind and much more mysterious than we realize. Think about all the ways the body defends and repairs itself on a daily basis and what we actually do not even know about the human mind yet.
I have found for myself that my vivid dreams are very prophetic, do not discount yourself for having these fantastic talents because we all do we only need to figure out how to harness them. Using a dream journal gives you an idea of what your fears are and how you are dealing with your problems, again check in with how you were feeling at the time and what the symbols may mean to you, i usually have water standing for emotions in dreams , even in astrology your emotional signs are the water signs. I think many things are interconnected like that. So something that may seem like a negative symbol such as the snake may be very different for each dreamer. Your dreams i feel are a true gauge of your emotions and can be warnings for your reality. I think we discount our dreams too much not realizing the tools we can be using and just because we do not understand them doesn't mean we cannot figure them out ourselves, you don't have to wait around for someone else's opinion , only you truly know you and advice only helps so far. So lets go over the checklist for interpreting your own dreams:
* write down your dreams every morning, waiting too long you will forget much of it , if not all of it.
*write down the symbols in a separate column, these are things that stood out for you in the dream.
* write down how you felt in the dream as a whole and with each symbol
* start your own symbol journal to check with at a later date for it is specifically designed for you, and you cannot be wrong about your own feelings.
* re-read your journals especially if something prophetic happens, the more you are in tune with yourself the more you will see it work for you. like anything practice makes perfect.
* if there are many symbols and the dream seems all over the place, write that down, that may be exactly what your mind is telling you, it is always simplistic. your message... slow down you are all over the place.

When I sleep at night, I usually wish I would not have any dream at all. There are dreams that can really make me feel anxious the following day. Plus, when I wake up having a night full of dreams, I feel more tired despite having slept.
